Ambika Kumar Doran, a partner in the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine, has been honored by the National Diversity Council as one of Washington’s “Most Powerful and Influential Women.”

Doran and the other honorees, from companies such as Amazon, Avvo, Starbucks, and T-Mobile, were recognized at a breakfast last week.

Doran practices media, internet, and intellectual property law. She has ten years of experience counseling clients and representing them in litigation with respect to claims targeted at allegedly unlawful content. This involves defamation, privacy, commercial speech, public records, courtroom access, other First Amendment issues, copyright, trademark, and immunity under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, 47 U.S.C. § 230.

Doran earned her A.B. from Duke University and her J.D., with honors, from University of Chicago Law School. She has been listed with Washington “Super Lawyers” for the past five years.
