JUNE 30, 2014 – For the fourth consecutive year, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has been awarded Gold Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF), recognizing the significant number of women in top leadership positions at the firm.

WILEF, a nationally recognized educational venue for women in the largest law firms and corporate law departments, awarded its Gold Certification this year to just 45 of the country’s largest law firms.

"We could not be more proud of the leadership of our women lawyers, and we are fully committed to their continued success," said Dave Baca, managing partner at Davis Wright Tremaine. "Of the seven lawyers we promoted to equity partner this year, five were women. Of the 12 members of our Executive Committee, three—including the chair—are women. This is a tribute to their dedication, and to the firm’s commitment to an inclusive workplace."

WILEF Certification emphasizes the leadership roles achieved by equity women partners, rather than the policies or practices of the firm. Law firms with 200 or more practicing lawyers in the U.S. are eligible for the Gold Certification if they meet at least four of six criteria. Davis Wright Tremaine met five.
