NOVEMBER 9, 2015 – In recognition of the firm’s national leadership in serving the converging worlds of tech, media, and communications, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has been named 2016 Law Firm of the Year in two practice areas—Communications and First Amendment Litigation—by the respected survey organization Best Lawyers in partnership with the magazine "U.S. News."
In rankings released last week, DWT also received National Tier 1 rankings in 17 additional practice areas.
Only one firm in the country is honored as "Law Firm of the Year" for each practice area. According to Best Lawyers, firms are chosen for the honor based on factors that include strong performance on surveys of the firm’s clients, as well as the high regard that lawyers in the same practice area have for the firm. The rankings were published this week on the Best Lawyers U.S. News website.
This is the third time in four years that Davis Wright Tremaine has been honored as "Law Firm of the Year" in Communications. The firm has received the honor for First Amendment Litigation twice in the same period.
