DECEMBER 9, 2016 – For the second time this year, Davis Wright Tremaine has been recognized by the Financial Times as one of the most innovative law firms in the world. The firm was named a "Standout" for "Redesigning the service & delivery model" in the FT’s 2016 Innovative Lawyers Awards North America.
Davis Wright Tremaine’s innovation initiative is led by DWT De Novo, a cross-functional team combining systems design, process improvement, technology, data analytics, and alternative staffing models to build legal solutions tailored to client pain-points. DWT De Novo finds new ways to handle high-volume bodies of work and uses data to draw out business insight.
The team’s focus is on helping the in-house team create business value and communicate that value in a language the business understands. De Novo technologists have worked with several major tech company clients to design dashboards, workflow systems, data repositories, and document automation tools to aid the corporate legal department.
