| 1L Diversity Scholarship Program
Davis Wright Tremaine has a successful diversity scholarship program for first-year associates in our Seattle and Portland offices. The scholarships are open to all first-year law students of color, or others of diverse backgrounds, who:
- Have a record of academic achievement in both undergraduate school and the first year of law school which demonstrates promise for a successful career in law, and
- Are committed to civic involvement that promotes diversity and will continue that commitment upon entering the legal profession, and
- Will commit to becoming a summer associate in our Seattle or Portland office between the first and second years of law school.

John M. Davis Diversity Scholarship at the University of Washington
One of the diversity initiatives of which we are most proud is the John M. Davis Diversity Scholarship at the University of Washington School of Law. The scholarship honors our founder, who has practiced law for more than 60 years, and will help ensure diversity among future generations of lawyers. The scholarship fund has grown to nearly $230,000, including significant donations from our partners. Students who are eligible for scholarships will receive information with their law school acceptance packet. |
