Supplier Diversity

We continually strive to increase our spending levels with diverse suppliers, and diversity is a key requirement for potential vendors who participate in our competitive selection process. Our goal is that at least 5 percent of our total expenditures for goods and services is with minority- and woman-owned business enterprises.

Diverse suppliers are encouraged to meet the following criteria:

• 51 percent minority- or woman-owned, operated and managed, as determined by the U.S. Small Business Administration
• Certified by one of the following agencies: National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) or regional affiliate, National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Small Business Administration (SBA) or other government or public agency

We ask all of our suppliers to:

• Treat all individuals with respect and dignity
• Operate their business in a responsible and ethical manner, respecting the rights of individuals
• Adhere to federal, state and local laws and standards regarding human rights, workplace safety, and worker compensation and treatment
• Maintain a program to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce, and good faith efforts, where applicable, to purchase from or subcontract with minority- and woman-owned businesses
• Submit a statement that they acknowledge and agree to comply with these expectations
