NOVEMBER 21, 2016 – Jeffrey S. Bosley, a partner in the San Francisco office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, has been inducted to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers as a Fellow. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one’s colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and excellence.
Bosley was formally installed as a Fellow this month in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section.
Election as a Fellow recognizes “those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field,” according to the College, whose members are prominent professionals representing employers, labor unions, individuals, government, and academia.
Bosley has over 20 years of experience advising clients on issues such as union organizing, labor agreement negotiation, workforce restructuring, and operational changes. He represents a broad range of clients in the distribution, manufacturing, retail, entertainment, health care, energy, and technology industries, routinely arguing before state and federal agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Since 2008, he has authored the NLRA notes column for the California State Bar’s Labor and Employment Section Law Journal.
Bosley also advises clients on employment law issues, negotiates executive employment agreements, assists with employment issues arising from corporate transactions, and has litigated employment law disputes before state and federal trial and appellate courts and arbitrators.
Prior to joining Davis Wright Tremaine in early 2014, Bosley spent 10 years at Winston & Strawn LLP. Among his notable cases there, Bosley briefed and argued a precedent-setting case before the NLRB on the use of email in the workplace.
Bosley joins other Fellows at Davis Wright Tremaine, including practice chair Henry Farber in the Bellevue, Wash., office; Seattle partners Robert Blackstone, Mark Hutcheson, Michael Killeen, Thomas Lemly, and Michael Reiss; Los Angeles partner John LeCrone; and San Francisco partner Judith Keyes.
