DECEMBER 10, 2014 – Jenna Mooney, a partner in the Portland office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, has been named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, one of the highest peer recognitions in the field.

Membership in the honorary society is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellows are selected and invited into the society after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.

Mooney defends employers in wage and hour, wrongful discharge, and discrimination matters, and litigates trade secret and noncompetition cases. In addition to her litigation work, she helps employers proactively develop and maintain best practices, and trains managers and employees regarding a range of issues, including diversity, harassment, and other key topics. She frequently speaks on retaining and managing employees, discrimination in the workplace, wage and hour law, and other issues related to employment law.

Mooney has been recognized by all three of the major lawyer-ranking organizations: Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers. She also is a member of the Litigation Counsel of America’s Wage & Hour Defense Institute.

Mooney received her B.A. from UCLA and her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. She serves on the board of directors of Friends of the Children.
