OCTOBER 7, 2015 – Nancy A. Brownstein, a litigator with two decades of experience as in-house counsel at The Travelers Indemnity Company, has joined Davis Wright Tremaine LLP as Of Counsel in our Seattle office.
Ms. Brownstein is highly experienced with all facets of litigation management, from pre-suit risk assessment to negotiation and settlement of complex multimillion-dollar matters. She has been a member of the Environmental Litigation Group at Travelers since 2004, most recently in the position of Senior Counsel.

At Travelers, Ms. Brownstein personally managed hundreds of litigations. She was responsible for identifying and preparing corporate witnesses for depositions and trial and she negotiated and drafted numerous settlement and other agreements with private parties and governmental entities.
Prior to working at Travelers, Ms. Brownstein spent eight years as a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her A.B. from Brown University.
