Amy Hwang counsels clients on the design and administration of tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and executive compensation programs under Code Sections 457(b) and 457(f). She has a strong background in health and welfare plan administration. Amy also represents public and private companies on business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance matters, and advises employers on employee benefits matters in business transactions and plan mergers and terminations.
Amy’s ERISA experience includes advising on medical plan and dental plan SPDs and claims procedures and preparing IRS determination-letter applications and plan defect-correction applications for qualified plans. In addition, she advises on LTD disability plan documents and SPDs; prepares welfare plan compliance checklists; and prepares welfare wrap plan documents.
