Janet represents employers in a wide range of disputes before state and federal courts and agencies, including disputes involving claims of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, wage and hour class actions, and administrative proceedings before the Employment Development Department, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
She also provides advice and counsel aimed at preventing litigation, including advice on sexual harassment prevention, investigations, terminations of employment, reductions in force, employee disciplinary actions, creating personnel policies, and drafting employee handbooks.
ADA Disputes
Janet represents businesses in Americans with Disabilities Act public accommodation disputes. She also provides preventative advice and counsel, works with clients to develop effective ADA policies and practices and coordinates with experts on remediation.
