| Jenna Mooney is an employment law counselor and litigator. She defends employers in wage and hour, wrongful discharge, and discrimination matters, and litigates trade secret and noncompetition cases. Jenna helps employers proactively develop and maintain best practices, and trains managers and employees regarding a range of issues, including diversity, harassment and other key topics. She frequently speaks on retaining and managing employees, discrimination in the workplace, wage and hour law, and other issues related to employment law. Selected Experience Succeeded in getting all claims dismissed with prejudice in a matter involving whistleblower allegations, intentional interference with economic relations, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Under appeal. (Ongoing) Represented defendant on breach of an employment contract claim. Summary judgment granted. (2011) Defended Wilshire Credit against claims alleging sexual orientation discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, and breach of employment contract. All claims dismissed at summary judgment. (2010) Motion to dismiss and to compel arbitration granted in wage and hour case. (D. Or. 2008) Defended large global retailer in a workers' compensation and retaliation claim. Won on summary judgment on most claims and successfully settled others in favor of client. (D. Or. 2007) Represented Accretive Health in theft of trade secrets case. Case settled in favor of Accretive after filing dispositive motions. (D. Or. 2006) Defended adidas America against Title VII claims alleging racial discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, defamation, wrongful termination and breach of employment contract.
