Regulatory compliance
Lisa advises her clients on regulatory compliance issues, including physician self- referral, fraud and abuse concerns and state licensing matters. She also assists clients in conducting internal investigations of potential compliance issues, developing corrective action plans and making voluntary disclosures to the government. Lisa develops and negotiates numerous agreements for providers in conjunction with her compliance work, including employment and consulting agreements, recruitment arrangements and payor contracts. She also advises clients on a range of legal issues relating to EHR implementation and meaningful use.
Washington certificates-of-need
Lisa has significant experience evaluating if a project is subject to certificate of need review and developing effective strategies around applying for and defending applications. She has also represented entities objecting to competitor applications for Washington certificates of need.
Transactions
Lisa works with a wide range of providers to achieve business goals through mergers, acquisitions and related alignment agreements, including bundled payments and strategic alliance agreements.
