Susan Duffy has an extensive background in health care law and the law of tax-exempt organizations. Susan's representation encompasses a variety of corporate governance, business planning and regulatory matters, including corporate governance and board relations, structuring corporate acquisitions, mergers and consolidations, and other reorganizations; joint ventures for health care systems and other tax-exempt organizations; tax-exempt financing, tax planning and compliance, including obtaining and maintaining exemption from federal and state taxes.
Susan regularly advises boards of directors and board compensation committees of tax-exempt organizations on corporate governance best practices, legal compliance oversight issues and executive compensation. She represents a wide range of clients in the health care industry, including health care delivery systems, managed care organizations, home health agencies, physician groups, professional associations, long-term care providers, and medical technology companies, as well as other tax-exempt organizations including community foundations and other charitable and educational organizations.
