Alison
Page Howard, an associate in the Seattle, Washington office of Davis
Wright Tremaine, practices media, communications and intellectual
property law.
Ms. Howard has extensive experience in media and journalism, working
as assistant news editor for The Fresno Bee and news copy editor for
The Idaho Statesman and the Star-Free Press (Ventura CA). She
has served as an editorial assistant for the quarterly publication
Entertainment and Sports Lawyer and has taught classes in news writing
and feature writing at California State University.
Ms. Howard was a Johnston Scholar at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill, where she received a B.A. in journalism with honors.
She earned an M.A. in international journalism from the University
of Southern California and received her J.D. from Boalt Hall School
of Law, University of California at Berkeley. While in law school,
she was managing editor of the California Law Review. She is the author
of "A Fistful of Lawsuits: The Press, the First Amendment and Section
43(a) of the Lanham Act." Ms. Howard is a member of the California
State Bar.
