Harry J.F. Korrell
Harry J. F. Korrell is a partner in the Seattle,
Washington office of Davis Wright Tremaine and works with the firm's
employment law practice group. His primary areas of practice include
labor-management relations and employment litigation on behalf of
national, regional, and local clients. His experience in these areas
includes the following:
- Representing unionized employers in collective bargaining and
grievance arbitrations.
- Advising and training employers on strategies for remaining
union-free and representing targeted employers in union organizing
campaigns.
- Defending employers charged with unfair labor practices and
violations of the National Labor Relations Act in front of the
National Labor Relations Board and in related litigation in federal
courts.
- Defending employers in gender, age, race, and disability discrimination
cases, including sexual harassment claims, both in response to
agency charges and in federal and state courts.
- Defending employers in wrongful discharge, whistleblower, and
breach of contract cases.
- Serving as an independent EEO investigator of internal charges
of discrimination and harassment.
- Counseling employers on a wide range of employment issues including
wage and hour questions, family and medical leave, the Americans
with Disabilities Act, voluntary severance plans, reductions in
force, negotiated and involuntary terminations, and employee handbooks.
Mr. Korrell received his B.A., magna
cum laude, from the University of Washington and was a member
of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago
Law School. Prior to joining Davis Wright Tremaine, Mr. Korrell
practiced with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld in Washington,
D.C. He is licensed to practice in federal and state courts in Washington,
the Fourth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the District
of Columbia.
