Allen D. Clark has recently returned from living and working in China. He was the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Shanghai office and acted as a client advisor in China for 3½ years. Mr. Clark is a business and commercial transactions lawyer whose practice emphasizes foreign direct investment in China.

Representative Experience
Representation of international clients in connection with the structuring and operation of investments in China

Representation of international clients in connection with the structuring, financing and operation of investments in the United States

Transactional work, including the negotiation and structuring of the purchase, sale or lease of businesses and business assets

Planning and structuring the formation of various business organizations, such as corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and joint venture arrangements

Structuring transactions and agreements related to all aspects of the commercial seafood and fishing industry

Mr. Clark also has extensive experience in the field of commercial litigation and has been able to use that experience in acting as general counsel to clients in negotiating and structuring transactions, the avoidance of litigation and the counseling of clients on the advantages and disadvantages of alternative forms of dispute resolution.

Prior Experience
Throughout his 37-year legal career at DWT, Mr. Clark has also served in numerous key management roles, including serving as the partner-in-charge of the Shanghai, Seattle and Bellevue offices; and as a member of the firm’s executive, hiring and compensation committees.
