Representative Experience
Eric is a trial lawyer who represents public and private companies in a broad array of commercial disputes and complex litigation, with a particular emphasis on shareholder disputes. Eric has handled jury trials in Oregon and Washington state courts and in federal court as well as representing clients in private arbitration and mediation. Eric has also argued cases to the Oregon Court of Appeals and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

In addition, Eric represents businesses in litigation against state agencies, both in state court and in administrative hearings. Eric also represents media companies in defamation and invasion of privacy lawsuits and litigating public records requests, as well as providing prepublication review of news broadcasts and newspaper articles.

Eric serves as a judge pro tempore in Multnomah County Circuit Court hearing summary judgment motions and also serves as an arbitrator for the Multnomah County Circuit Court’s mandatory arbitration program and the Oregon State Bar’s Attorney Fee Dispute program.

Eric carries an AV Peer Review Rating (highest rating) from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell.

Interests
Eric enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, playing roller hockey and being a bicycle commuter. He also enjoys traveling, playing guitar, serving as a statistician for the Portland Trail Blazers, and spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
