Specializes in next-generation cable architecture issues, including the "plug-and-play" negotiations between the cable industry and the consumer electronics and IT industries, and the development and licensing of downloadable conditional access security
Obtained waivers for nine cable operators from the FCC's ban on the deployment of integrated set-top boxes
Represents competitive local exchange, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and broadband service providers on a wide range of telecommunications issues, including negotiation and arbitration of interconnection agreements, compliance with telecommunications privacy (CPNI) rules, intercarrier compensation, universal service contribution methodologies, obtaining universal service funding for service in high-cost areas, complex carrier-to-carrier billing disputes, and broadband regulation and deployment
Won multi-million dollar judgments against large incumbent carriers in arbitrations before state public service commissions and in AAA commercial arbitration
