Representative Experience
Mr. London represents clients regarding mass media, advertising, and privacy and security matters. This includes advising clients such as broadcasters, cable networks and operators, advertisers and Internet companies in matters before the FCC, FTC, and state and federal courts, and on general regulatory compliance. He also provides counsel and strategic advice on a broad range of litigation, administrative, enforcement, and legislative matters related to communications, the media, and all aspects of direct consumer contact by sellers of goods and services (including telemarketing, commercial faxing, voice broadcasting, text messaging, email, and direct mail).

The areas in which Mr. London has provided counsel to clients and engaged in advocacy on their behalf include must-carry, closed captioning and video description, indecency, program access and other content issues, and the protection of consumer personal information. His Internet practice includes advising clients with respect to electronic privacy and data security.

Mr. London also has extensive experience with federal and state telemarketing laws and regulations, the CAN-SPAM Act, state email laws, and federal and state privacy and data security initiatives, including those relevant to direct marketing and behavioral advertising. He routinely advises clients on compliance issues and provides representation in responding to regulatory inquiries regarding their practices. Mr. London also provides litigation counsel in challenges to federal and state telemarketing and email laws and regulations.

His other work in the area of telecommunications has included representing competitive entrants in universal service litigation and advocacy before state and federal courts and agencies, advising on pay-per-call service issues, advocating the promotion of airborne wireless services, and providing regulatory guidance for wireline and wireless telecommunications entities

In addition, Mr. London has comprehensive knowledge of pole attachment contract and litigation issues. He has represented both cable providers and utilities before the FCC and before state commissions in regulatory and adversary proceedings, and has crafted and negotiated numerous pole attachment agreements.

Mr. London’s practice has also included drafting and prosecuting trademark applications and providing general advice to clients on trademark issues.
