Representative Experience
Defends employers in wage and hour, wrongful discharge and race, gender and disability discrimination litigation, both in response to agency charges and in federal and state courts, litigates trade secret and non-compete cases
Counsels employers in proactive employment practices, including best practices for hiring, handling terminations, and effective use of progressive discipline, and wage and hour and leave compliance
Conducts training programs for managers and employees regarding discriminatory harassment and other topics
Reviews and drafts employment related policies for employers
Representative Cases
Defended major footwear manufacturer against race discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract and defamation claims. All claims dismissed at summary judgment and affirmed by 9th Circuit.
Defended major credit finance company against race discrimination and emotional distress claims. All claims dismissed at summary judgment.
Defended major cleaning services company against multi-plaintiff wage and hour claims. Defeated summary judgment and resolved matter on favorable terms for employer.
Defended intellectual property firm against multi-million dollar breach of contract and theft of trade secrets claims. Resolved matter on favorable terms at mediation.
