Ms. Morrison represents wineries, breweries, restaurants and food product companies with brand protection and enforcement efforts and other intellectual property protection needs. She also represents technology companies including a leading online market research firm, software companies, and those in the biotech and medical device industries.
Representative Experience
Ms. Morrison advises clients on domestic and international trademark selection, clearance, registration, and maintenance issues, taking a business- and industry-focused approach. She provides counseling to clients regarding trademark enforcement, infringement defense and other unfair competition disputes. Ms. Morrison represents clients in litigation matters including administrative proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) related to enforcement and defense of cancellation and opposition proceedings, and trademark infringement and unfair competition matters before U.S. District court.
Ms. Morrison counsels clients concerning copyright registration and enforcement, trade dress identification and enforcement, and trade secret protection, and provides her expertise to DWT's litigation teams when trade dress, copyright, and trade secret misappropriation disputes arise.
Ms. Morrison negotiates, drafts and provides advice concerning software licensing, software development and other types of information technology agreements
She provides advice to clients concerning Internet law and eCommerce issues including domain name issues including policing, ownership transfers, administrative actions under ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy ("UDRP") and litigation under the AntiCybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
