Representative Experience
Negotiated and litigated a farm workout involving multiple tracts of land and rapidly disappearing personal property for a financial institution in which the financial institution received its entire loan of $10+ million, plus interest and attorneys’ fees
Overturned for the first time since the 1930s in Oregon a Sheriff’s sale which caused the client who had a seven-figure second on the foreclosed motel to be paid in full
Successfully defended a title insurance company who was being sued for an excess of $2 million based on escrow errors
Negotiated and litigated loan workouts for several financial institutions and corporate clients
Tried or resolved several large litigation matters for real estate title companies and their insureds
Assisted financial institutions and corporate clients in closing several real estate loans and transactions
Established bankruptcy procedures, collection practices and small claims procedures for financial institutions and corporate clients
Familiar with the regulations facing financial institutions, lenders, buyers and sellers in real estate transactions, and the laws and regulations regarding consumer loans
