Representative Experience
Successfully negotiated the nation's first telecommunications interconnection agreement between a cable operator and an incumbent phone company shortly after the passage of the Telecommunications Act of 1996

Represents competing telecommunications providers (including firms using wired and wireless technologies) in state and federal regulatory matters, negotiating interconnection agreements, universal service, pricing, tariffing, and other matters

Represents various Internet-related entities in regulatory matters and issues relating to Web hosting, Internet addressing, and domain names

Contract negotiation for the country's premier originator of radio programming to provide its content for the site of the leading firm in Internet audio streaming technology

Negotiation and litigation regarding inter-carrier compensation for dial-up calls to ISPs; provides advice and analysis regarding compliance with the Carrier Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA) in the context of advanced packet-mode communications architectures; arbitration of interconnection agreements; successful litigation in a state supreme court to overturn a state regulator’s approval of an "incentive regulation" plan for an RBOC

Advises cable television operators on regulatory and other legal issues relating to cable-delivered Internet and telephone services, and has been an active participant in the FCC's proceedings regarding compensation payments to CLECs for completing calls to ISPs, efforts by the FCC to take steps to encourage the deployment of advanced telecommunications capabilities, and other matters
