The clients of Mr. Schuchard’s diverse transactional and commercial practice in various industries including health care, education, insurance, trade associations, social service organizations, equipment maintenance and other service businesses.
Mr. Schuchard’s practice has included:
Advising clients in the areas of purchases and sales of businesses, mergers and management agreements, corporate governance and executive compensation in diverse industries, including manufacturing, service, insurance and health care
General corporation and commercial matters, including loan transactions, corporate structure, negotiating agreements for computer and telephone systems, equipment and real property sales and leases, commercial joint ventures and structuring and negotiating general and limited partnerships and limited liability companies
Advising numerous hospitals, health care systems and physician groups in general corporate, governance, corporate structure, contracts with top executives, commercial and health care matters
Representing clients before the charitable trust division of the California Attorney General’s office

- Mercy Healthcare Bakersfield in its affiliation with Bakersfield Memorial Hospital
- Citrus Valley Health Partners, Inc. in its affiliation of Foothill Presbyterian Hospital
- San Pedro Peninsula Hospital in its affiliation with Little Company of Mary Health Services
- Methodist Hospital of Southern California in its affiliation with Huntington Memorial Hospital to form Southern California Healthcare Systems
- Robert F. Kennedy Medical Center in a five party merger to form Catholic Healthcare West Southern California
- Bay Harbor Hospital in its affiliation with Little Company of Mary Health Services
- Sale of Selma District Hospital to Adventist Health
- Little Company of Mary Health Services affiliation with Providence Health System
- Sale of USC/Norris Cancer Hospital to Tenet Healthcare
- Good Samaritan Community Healthcare in its affiliation with MultiCare Health System
Advising nonprofit health care facilities and systems and other charitable organizations, with particular focus on the corporate, fiduciary duty, tax and charitable trust issues facing such organizations
