Representative Experience
Litigation of cases involving issues under virtually all of the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act’s (PMPA) principal provisions, state franchise laws and state motor fuel marketing and below cost statutes
Advise and train clients on litigation avoidance and compliance with discovery requirements
Has handled cases in state and federal courts in more than 30 states and participated on appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits and the Texas Supreme Court
Prior Experience
In-house litigation counsel, Shell Oil Company, 1988-2005
- Handled a nationwide docket of cases on price fixing, market allocation, price discrimination and other antitrust matters, as well as contractual disputes with wholesalers and retailers and franchise matters under the PMPA
