Negotiation of merger, acquisition and finance transactions in the communications and technology sectors exceeding $9 billion in value, including raising more than $900 million in private equity for Clearwire Corporation in which Intel Capital and Motorola were the lead investors, raising $600 million in senior secured convertible debt for ICO North America, raising more than $100 million in private equity for Clearwire Corporation in round led by Bell Canada;

• acquisition of NextNet Wireless, Inc. for Clearwire and later sale of NextNet Wireless to Motorola;
• acquisition of Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione for Starbucks;
• acquisition of Ethos Water for Starbucks;
• sale of Diversified Marine Products to Brunswick Corporation

Representation of wireless carriers in FCC license acquisitions and leases, including Clearwire, Edge Wireless and Cascade Wireless

Negotiation of domestic and international strategic joint ventures

Serves as outside general counsel to companies throughout the Northwest, including advising boards of directors and independent committees in corporate governance and conflict of interest transactions
