Representative Experience
Over 20 years of experience in representing U.S companies doing business in China and Chinese companies doing business in the U.S. in industry sectors covering aviation, automotive, telecommunications, machinery, energy, computer and software, construction, real estate, retail, franchising, media, timber, fishery, transportation and international trade. Services provided include:

• Assist in structuring clients’ planned investments in China
  
• Participate in negotiation with relevant Chinese government entities or joint venture partners for the establishment of foreign invested enterprises in China, including wholly-foreign owned enterprises or joint ventures
  
• Prepare legal documents required for the establishment of foreign invested enterprises in China
  
• Provide legal advises on issues arising from the daily operations of foreign invested enterprises, including construction of manufacturing facilities, intellectual property protection, labor and employment, acquisition of land use rights and customs proceedings
  
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings, and mediation and arbitration, and provide litigation support in China
  
• Assist U.S. companies or their foreign invested enterprises in China to merge with or to acquire other foreign invested enterprises or local Chinese State-owned or privately owned companies
  
• Provide legal compliance training to managers of foreign invested enterprises in China
  
• Provide expert witness services regarding Chinese law issues for lawsuits filed in the U.S.
  
• Represent Chinese companies in arbitration and litigation in the U.S.
  
• Assist Chinese companies to structure their investments in the U.S. and set up operations, and advise them on legal issues relating to their daily operations.

Served as an Affiliate Professor with the University of Washington School of Law, teaching its Chinese law course for nine years
