Located on Pennsylvania Avenue, a few blocks from the White House, Davis Wright Tremaine's D.C. office features a team of lawyers that represent clients in diverse industries, ranging from communications and energy to financial services, health care, and food and beverage.   • Food and Beverage: We represent clients in the food and beverage industry before multiple state and federal agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, handling everything from complex commercial litigation to regulatory matters for business and trade association clients. Our team has experience in organic farming and processing regulation, and is well-versed in a multitude of agricultural regulatory programs. We also represent alcohol beverage producers, distributors, and trade associations on regulatory, litigation, and policy issues.
  • Health Care: We advise clients on HIPAA privacy, security, and breach notification rules, as well as on how HIPAA rules apply to new and emerging health information technologies.
  • Litigation: The Washington, D.C. office has an active litigation practice, with a focus on the industries in which our clients' operate—communications, media, health care, food and beverage, financial services, and energy—as well as a general civil litigation practice. We have handled cases in nearly every state, at all levels of federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including the U.S. Supreme Court, and work closely with colleagues in the firm’s West Coast and New York offices.
