| Established in 1990, the Los Angeles office serves national
and international clients in the areas of health care, intellectual
property and media law, litigation, employment, and energy.
Our media attorneys regularly advise major media organizations,
newspapers, book publishers, artists and entertainment companies
on issues regarding defamation, privacy, copyright, trademark,
advertising, press access, reporter's privilege, and related
First Amendment issues, as well as tort and contract claims.
Through the firm's comprehensive health care practice, our lawyers
are able to assist clients in responding to the recent and on-going
changes in the U.S. health care system, and in litigating, arbitrating
or mediating their disputes. Our employment attorneys advise
clients on a full range of labor and employment concerns
from personnel issues to traditional labor union matters. Our
litigation department has experience in virtually every subject
matter. We recently represented Columbia Pictures in a copyright
infringement case that resulted in the largest statutory damage
award ever granted by a jury. |
