Adam Romney advises clients on complex regulatory matters, government reimbursement programs, fraud and abuse, and general transactional matters. He represents a broad range of health care providers such as hospitals and hospital systems, long-term care facilities, clinics, medical groups, independent diagnostic testing facilities, surgery centers, telelmedicine providers, and accountable care organizations.
His experience with Medicaid and Medicare programs includes representing clients in federal and state audits and payment appeals, survey and certification issues, as well as advising on numerous reimbursement matters. He also advises clients on federal and state regulatory matters related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, hospital-physician alignment and other arrangements that affect ownership, licensing, certification, accreditation, payment issues, and participation in government payment programs.
Adam also has significant experience advising clients on health care fraud and abuse matters involving federal and state self-referral, anti-kickback, civil penalty and related laws.
