Adam Vergne

Admitted to practice in Iowa only. Supervised by partners in the Seattle office.
Adam Vergne concentrates his practice on employment matters. As an advocate in federal court, he has experience defending management against single and multi-plaintiff discrimination and retaliation claims as well as class and collective actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and local wage and hour laws. Adam also has experience defending and prosecuting claims on behalf of ERISA plans and plan sponsors. As a former judicial intern for the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, Adam has knowledge of the federal court system at the trial and appellate levels, which he uses to develop litigation strategies that avoid the time and expense of trial where possible.

In addition to his litigation practice, Adam also counsels on employee relations and workplace investigations, and routinely drafts and revises employee handbooks, policies, and procedures. Prior to joining the firm, Adam spent more than six years working in the human resources departments of multiple Fortune 500 companies. In his counseling practice, he is able to combine his real world experience with knowledge of evolving legal issues to create innovative solutions that meet business needs.
