Keith Allred focuses on bankruptcy advice to investors, secured and unsecured lenders, debtors and lessors in restructuring and bankruptcy. Keith has extensive experience with out-of-court workouts and restructurings, consensual and litigated Chapter 11 cases, distressed business transactions and related litigation. Keith has helped clients with a broad range of issues including sales of businesses in bankruptcy, protection of the value of creditors’ claims in bankruptcy, and distressed financing arrangements. Keith also counsels banking and commercial lending clients in loan documentation, bankruptcy risks, security interest perfection and priorities, and noncredit risks of lending and loan administration. Keith has represented clients in bankruptcy courts in New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Florida, Colorado, Montana, Utah, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Washington and Alaska.

Keith's clients include: Bank of America, General Electric Capital Corp., U.S. Bank, and many regional banks, as well as municipalities and public utilities. Keith has represented a number of other companies in restructuring their ownership or lending relationships with companies in bankruptcy.

Part of attorney team that represented debtor as special counsel on energy matters. (2008)

In re K-Mart Corporation

Represented 43 newspapers in Chapter 11 case in which debtor was seeking multimillion-dollar recovery from newspapers. (2008)

In re Madill Equipment Canada

Represented Canadian receiver in multiple Chapter 15 proceedings involving U.S. business assets. (2008)

In re Brown & Cole Stores LLC

Represented debtor's primary supplier and major lessor of grocery store locations in Chapter 11 proceedings, including contested plan confirmation and defense of complex breach of contract and related claims. (2007)

In re Kistler Aerospace Corp.

Represented debtor in successful Chapter 11 reorganization in which $600 million of pre-petition debt was restructured. (2006)

Meridian Fund bankruptcies

Represented large creditor in commencing bankruptcy proceedings involving one of the largest Ponzi schemes in the Northwest. (2010)
