Claude Goetz advises clients on business transactions, finance and commercial legal issues, and mergers and acquisitions. His clients are concerned principally with intellectual property and information technology, including payment systems. He counsels parties to credit card-related matters and represents buyers and sellers in all aspects of U.S. and multinational private asset and equity acquisitions, and assists licensors and licensees of intellectual property. In addition, Claude has extensive experience with joint ventures, executive employment and severance, sales agency, governance, corporate counseling and commercial contracts.

Claude's clients include: financial institutions; credit card banks; print, broadcast and online media outlets; and service providers in each of those industries.

Represent multiple U.S. credit card issuers in connection with cobranded card agreements with airline, big box and specialty retailers and related affinity/loyalty programs and private label credit card programs; represent processors, acquirers and retailers in connection with transaction processing agreements. Represent non-bank affiliates of U.S. financial institutions in private equity investments in payment and loyalty innovators. (Ongoing)

Serial acquisitions of enthusiast and B2B publications and online venues

On behalf of Apprise Media, Canon Communications, and other media companies, negotiated the acquisition of Beckett Publications, Action Media, Hot Import Nights, Action Pursuit Games, Kung Fu Magazine and dozens of other titles. (2010)

Sale of musical theater portfolio and partnership interests for The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization and entities owned by the Hammerstein family
