Janet represents employers in a wide range of disputes before state and federal courts, including wage/hour, misclassification, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims. Janet also defends employers in administrative proceedings before the Employment Development Department, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Janet provides advice and counsel aimed at preventing litigation, including advice on sexual harassment prevention, investigations, terminations of employment, reductions in force, employee disciplinary actions, creating personnel policies, and drafting employee handbooks.

Janet represents companies in wage and hour and ADA accommodation class actions. She works closely with companies to develop defense strategies designed to curtail or eliminate liability. She also works with companies to minimize risk of future actions.

She also provides preventative advice and counsel, works with clients to develop effective ADA policies and practices, and coordinates with experts on remediation.
