| Jill Gordon is a health law and life sciences attorney representing hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical groups and other entities affiliated with the health care industry. Jill also represents a number of emerging growth companies in the medical device and biotech fields. She primarily counsels clients on transactional and regulatory matters including forming and operating joint ventures and other alliances; structuring mergers and acquisitions; entity formation and financing; and negotiating agreements such as contracts, leases, medical director agreements and physician recruitment arrangements. In addition, Jill advises clients on physician self-referral (Stark law), anti-kickback, and other health care compliance matters.
Practice Highlights
- Acts as lead attorney for providers and affiliated entities in transactions requiring strategic business planning and regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in hospital-physician joint ventures and other physician alignment transactions, RHIO/HIE formation, and long-term care facility sales, acquisitions and leasing arrangements
- Advises clients with respect to federal and state anti-kickback, physician self-referral (Stark law), licensing, Medicare and Medicaid certification, and other regulatory issues
- Serves as outside general counsel to health care providers, including advice in the areas of hospital-physician contracting, physician recruitment and physician practice sales and acquisitions, management contracts, managed care contracting, and space and equipment leasing
- Provides general corporate law counseling and advice, particularly with respect to entity formation, financing, and commercial contracts
