Michael Zahn

Michael Zahn is a seasoned real estate attorney with nearly two decades of experience in the industry. He represents clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, and closing documents. Michael also handles leasing and tenant matters; drafts and negotiates joint venture agreements; and assists with ancillary real estate agreements, including covenants and restrictions, licenses, easement agreements, and service contracts. Prior to joining Davis Wright Tremaine, Michael worked as associate general counsel for a large privately owned real estate investment company.

Disposition of KOIN Center, Portland, Ore.

Represented owner in the disposition of KOIN Center, a 35-story, Class “A” mixed use office and retail building located at 222 SW Columbia Street in Portland, Ore. (2015)

Lease of office space*

Represented landlord in a 181,400 square-foot lease and later 36,000 square-foot expansion of office space to Xerox Business Systems in Sacramento, Calif. (2010 and 2012)

Purchase of industrial project*

Represented purchaser in acquisition of Centennial Plaza, a 243,669 square-foot multi-tenant industrial flex project in Salt Lake City. (2012)

Sale of retail shopping center*

Represented seller in a $181 million sale of Alameda Town Center, a 596,278 square-foot retail shopping center in Alameda, Calif. (2011)

Lease of office space*

Represented landlord in 83,200 square-foot lease of office space to a law firm in Portland, Ore. (2008)

Purchase of industrial project*

Represented purchaser in a $59,875,000 acquisition of Diablo Industrial Center, a 499,720 square-foot six building multi-tenant industrial flex project in Las Vegas. (2006)

Purchase of Class-A multi-family complex*

Represented purchaser in $100 million acquisition of a 690-unit apartment complex in Leesburg, Va. (2004)
