| Monique Lee Hawthorne practices real estate, energy, land use and environmental law. She counsels clients in areas pertaining to commercial transactions, energy-related land use issues, real estate investments and environmental regulatory compliance.
Monique is also involved with sustainable business practices and is a LEED Accredited Professional (one of five Oregon attorneys listed in the Green Building Certification Institute directory). The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. As a LEED Accredited Professional, she has the knowledge and skills to advise clients on all aspects of sustainable real estate, including advising clients who are interested in certifying a new or existing commercial/multifamily residential buildings, green leasing for landlords and tenants, and sustainable maintenance, operation, and commissioning of buildings. Monique also serves on the firm's green team committee.
