Pat is not afraid of the courtroom. As a litigator in DWT's communications group, Pat has tried dozens of cases to judgment in bench and jury trials and has successfully arbitrated even more. He regularly defends tech, telecom, media, and financial services clients against consumer claims and works relentlessly to protect his clients' financial interests and brand reputation. Pat knows that no two cases are identical. He takes the time to understand his clients' business needs and crafts legal strategies that meet those needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

Pat represents clients of all shapes and sizes: tech companies that dominate the headlines; banks and other financial institutions; national media companies; startups; small businesses; and individuals. Pat leverages his experience and that of his colleagues to obtain favorable results for his clients, regardless of whether he's suing the government under the Freedom of Information Act or defending a telecom giant against claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices. Pat also has an active pro bono practice that has assisted clients with asylum claims, obtained housing vouchers from the D.C. Housing Authority, and defended against defamation claims based on Facebook comments.
