Richard Gibbs is an associate in the communications, media, IP & technology practice group. Richard’s practice focuses on technology transactions and licensing, and includes assisting clients with negotiating, drafting, and implementing agreements involving technology development, hardware and software procurement, licensing and distribution, electronic commerce, cloud computing, data centers and colocation, and strategic alliances. He has represented clients from start-ups and other high-growth companies to members of the Global Fortune 500 in the wireless communications, software and hardware, and financial services industries.

Richard is a registered patent attorney. He has a diverse background that includes knowledge of electrical, computer software and hardware, and telecommunications technologies, which allows him to work effectively with a variety of clients on a wide range of technologies. His previous experience working at a wireless telecommunications company, an Internet service provider, and a global consulting firm enables him to offer strategic business insight in addition to helping clients navigate legal challenges.
