| Bob Newell concentrates on complex commercial litigation, health care litigation and software litigation. His work includes securities, unfair competition, trade secrets, Uniform Commercial Code and litigation in federal and state courts. Bob has extensive trial experience and expertise in Oregon and federal procedure, and frequently speaks on Oregon legislation, litigating UCC cases, and other litigation topics before lawyers and industry groups. Anesthesiologists Associated, Inc. 2007 Represented plaintiff medical billing company against software developer for breach of contract and negligence. Jury verdict for plaintiff. Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Represented plaintiff against hospital in a claim for breach of contract involving a complicated service provision contract. Oregon Health & Science University We represented OHSU in a lawsuit against Vertex Pharmaceuticals, a drug manufacturer, in a claim of breach of contract and various patent related issues. RBC Dain Rauscher Represented defendant against a claim of wrongfully denied life insurance benefits under an ERISA plan. Case settled favorably for client. Viacom, Inc.
