Regulatory - electric for South San Joaquin Irrigation District

Represent in administrative and judicial proceedings pertaining to SSJID's plan to expand the scope of its services to include retail electric service within its existing service territory in California's Central Valley, including CEQA compliance and administrative proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission, San Joaquin County Planning Commission, and San Joaquin Local Agency Formation Commission. Providing advice to geothermal generators operated by Calpine Corporation in the Geysers Geothermal Area in Northern California with respect to commercial matters, disputes, and regulatory issues. (Ongoing)

Represent in administrative proceedings regarding rules and requirements applicable to the development and marketing of solar PV systems in compliance with the California Solar Initiative (CSI) and California Public Utilities Commission rules implementing the CSI. (Ongoing)

Mergers & acquisitions for Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp.

Formed a new investor-owned electric utility, California Pacific Electric Company, LLC (CalPeco) consisting of electric utility assets (in the Lake Tahoe area of California) previously operated by Sierra Pacific Power Co.
