Geoffrey Brounell litigates on behalf of individuals, small companies, and global corporations in courts across the United States. For Geoffrey, no dispute is too big, or too small—his practice spans from municipal court and courts of limited monetary jurisdiction to federal trial and appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
Geoffrey also maintains an active pro bono practice, for which he has won multiple awards. He has been a member of the firm's pro bono committee since 2019.
Practice Highlights
Regional and nationwide defense
Serves as external litigation counsel for clients both nationally and regionally, defending a wide range of cases covering almost every conceivable claim, from contractual and other commercial disputes to negligence, property damage, municipal, personal injury, wage garnishment, and identity theft claims.
Plaintiff-side litigation
Prosecutes high-stakes cases on behalf of plaintiffs nationwide, most recently representing MetroPCS in its lawsuit opposing California’s surcharges on prepaid wireless service plans, SM Kids in a breach of contract claim against Google, and the National Associate of Theatre Owners in its constitutional challenge to New Jersey's COVID-19 restrictions.
Media and entertainment
Represents media and entertainment companies in both defense and prosecution of an assortment of commercial, contractual, and other claims.
