Holly Wylam Klein offers employers experienced counsel in all areas of the employment relationship, including employment agreements, challenging workplace situations, executive compensation and employee benefits law.
Employment Counseling / Dispute Resolution
Holly works with employers to address complex employee relationship issues, develop effective policies and craft employment, severance and noncompete agreements. She has also successfully defended employers against state agency charges and worked on a variety of employment litigation matters. Holly is a trained mediator and offers clients unique and highly effective approaches to dispute resolution in the workplace. She has particular expertise in the evolving employment and benefits laws relating to domestic partners.
Management, Employee and Human Resources Training
Holly offers training for managers and employees regarding hiring, diversity, respectful workplaces, performance management, sexual harassment and employees with disabilities.
Executive Compensation
Holly designs and drafts a variety of executive compensation arrangements, including non-qualified deferred compensation plans and equity-based arrangements. She has particular depth of knowledge in addressing new deferred compensation laws under Internal Revenue Code Section 409A.
Employee Benefits
Holly counsels clients on a wide range of employee benefits issues, including the design and administration of qualified retirement plans such as 401(k) plans, group health/welfare plans and cafeteria plans. Holly’s work include advice on the tax and ERISA implications (including COBRA rules) on all types of employee benefit programs.
Holly is also a frequent speaker on a variety of compensation, benefits and employment topics.
