John Hendrickson is an experienced transactional real estate attorney who also assists clients in land use matters involving zoning, land development, and subdivision of property for communications facilities, office buildings, shopping centers, and industrial parks. He has more than 25 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, assisting clients in site acquisition transactions and land use permitting. John also represents clients in a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including leasing, purchases and sales, title analysis, resolution of title disputes, and lending-related matters.

Clients: In addition to working with conventional developers and commercial property owners, much of John’s practice focuses on working with clients in communications businesses, including wireless, cable, and fiber optic. These clients include national communications service providers and owners and users of communication-oriented structures and buildings. John assists these clients with the acquisition and disposition of their real estate assets and deployment of their communication networks by addressing transactions, including title due diligence and land use.

Transactions: John regularly assists communications clients in various real estate transactions, including: (a) purchase and sale agreements and associated documentation; (b) leases, licenses and easements pertaining to developed and undeveloped land; (c) in-building systems; (d) distributed antenna systems; and (e) office, call center, switching center, retail and warehouse purchase and leasing.

Land Use: John also regularly assists clients with land use projects, including: (a) zoning, subdivision and general land use due diligence; (b) land use permits and variances including representing clients before governmental entities at contested and other public hearings; (c) appeals of land use permit denials and the defense of such appeals that are adverse to our client’s interests; (d) rights-of-way access permits and agreements and (e) cable and fiber optic project municipal franchises and rights-of-way permits.
