Paula Lehmann has been representing employers in complex employment matters for more than 20 years in both California and Washington. She divides her work between employment litigation and all facets of labor relations counseling. Paula has extensive experience in both single plaintiff and class action litigation, collective bargaining, arbitrations, strategic labor planning and counseling employers in preventive employment practices.

Paula's clients include: Crane Electronics, King County Library System, Pepsi Bottling Group, Pitney Bowes, Providence Health & Services, Seattle Symphony, Skagit Valley Hospital, University of Puget Sound, and Yakima Regional Medical and Heart Center.

Representative Experience

French v. Providence Regional Medical Center Everett

Obtained a full defense verdict for our client after a weeklong jury trial in federal court. The case involved allegations of violations of the ADA, WLAD, FMLA, and public policy. (2009)

Green v. Seattle Art Museum

Represented the Seattle Art Museum in a race and national origin case brought by a terminated employee. The federal court granted summary judgment in all respects. On appeal, the 9th Circuit affirmed the dismissal. (2009)

WizKids, LLC v. Michael, Best & Friedrich, LLP

Represented plaintiffs in patent malpractice claim arising from failure to secure U.S. rights on game patent; successfully settled. Case No. 03-2-12009-0SEA (King Cnty. Super. Ct. 2008)

Shahriary v. Teledesic et al.

Obtained summary judgment for Teledesic and all individual defendants on claims of breach of contract, race and age discrimination, fraud and misrepresentation, and alleged violation of California Labor Code in case in which plaintiff sought damages of $100 million; then prevailed in plaintiff's appeal to 9th Circuit. C00-1755C (9th Cir. 2002)
