Sheila Fox Morrison

Sheila Fox Morrison represents wineries, breweries, liquor manufacturers, restaurants, and food product companies in the U.S. and abroad with brand protection and enforcement efforts and other intellectual property protection needs. She represents many small and mid-cap companies for whom she focuses on strategic planning and management of intellectual property assets. Sheila also often works closely with the members of her firm’s business group on intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions.

Sheila speaks frequently on intellectual property topics, including international trademark law and prosecution.

Practice Highlights
  • Advises clients on domestic and international trademark selection, clearance, registration and maintenance issues.
  • Counsels clients regarding trademark enforcement, trade dress identification and enforcement, infringement defense and other unfair competition disputes.
  • Represents clients in litigation matters, including administrative proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) related to enforcement and defense of cancellation and opposition proceedings, and trademark infringement and unfair competition matters before the U.S. District court.
  • Counsels clients concerning copyright registration and enforcement.
  • Negotiates, drafts and provides advice concerning software licensing, software development and other types of information technology agreements.
  • Provides advice to clients concerning Internet, e-commerce and domain name issues including policing, ownership transfers, administrative actions under ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and litigation under the AntiCybersquatting Consumer Protection Act.
