Stu Miller concentrates his practice on employment law counseling and litigation. He regularly advises employers on a wide range of issues, including termination and disciplinary decisions, leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, and personnel policies and procedures. Stu has successfully defended employers in well over 200 lawsuits including, class action, and trains management on a range of employment law topics.

Shepard v. COMSYS, Inc.

Defended two subsidiaries of COMSYS, Inc. in an action alleging failure to properly pay overtime. (2011)

Ross v. U.S. Bank

Defended U.S. Bank in a California wage and hour class action involving off-the-clock and meal period claims. (2010)

Walker v. Kaiser Foundation Hospitals

Defended Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in a lawsuit alleging race discrimination and racial harassment. (2010)

Hulsey v. Calpine

A wage and hour class action involving claims regarding exempt status of a team of engineers. Negotiated a successful settlement for the client. (Santa Clara Cnty. (Cal.) Super. Ct.)
