Evaluation and Implementation of HIPAA Compliance Plans for Covered Entities

• Analysis of HIPAA's requirements and development of compliance strategies
  • Analysis of and advice concerning implications of state and other federal laws implicated by HIPAA compliance
  • Assistance in development of audit process by which to review and evaluate compliance, including development, implementation, and/or review of audit tools
  • Cooperation with non-legal vendors of compliance tools
• Evaluation of currently existing compliance plans to identify necessary changes to comply with HIPAA
  • Review, revise and/or draft integrated policies and procedures (either in connection with overall compliance plan review or independently)
  • Develop and/or review record retention and disposal policies
  • Review, revise and/or draft consent and authorization forms
• Assistance in conducting periodic audits to confirm compliance with HIPAA requirements
  • Advice on operational compliance with HIPAA; assistance with compliance issues as they arise
  • Ongoing monitoring of compliance strategies in conjunction with changing legal requirements
• Analysis of research compliance issues under HIPAA
