Health Care Industry Associations

The firm represents, or works in conjunction with, several associations of health care industry professionals and providers. Health Law Group attorneys provide legal counsel regarding the availability of tax-exempt status to the associations and their affiliates, establishment of group purchasing programs and the compliance of such programs with antitrust and fraud and abuse laws. The firm also advises associations of the impact of legislative and regulatory developments upon their members and assists them in formulating public policy positions.

Davis Wright Tremaine's association activities include:

• Providing regular advice to the American Medical Association regarding managed care and physician organization matters.



• Preparing case studies of fifteen leading academic medical centers for the University Hospital Consortium.



• Serving as general counsel to the California Integrated Health Care Association and the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California.
